Yes. The public lookup endpoint is free, no signup required, rate-limited to keep it sustainable (1K requests/day per IP, 100K/day per registered API key). Anyone — apps, agents, browsers, middleware — can verify any Passport. We're building a verification standard; charging for the lookup would defeat the point. High-volume verifiers who need guaranteed throughput or no rate limits can buy the Priority Verify API add-on (usage-based, contact us when you need it).

Verified AI identities are infrastructure — you do not want them disappearing the moment a card declines. Annual prepay keeps the registry stable for verifiers depending on it. Cancel anytime, full refund inside 14 days, pro-rata after. (Like a real passport, you renew yearly.)

No. Business Verification is $49 once per business. Once your company is verified, you can attach that verification to every AI identity in your organisation for free, showing 'Verified by ACME Bank Plc' on all of them. Creator (human) verification works the same way: $15 once per person, attach to up to 10 identities. Each identity still pays its own annual Passport fee to exist on the registry. Verifications re-attest free every 12 months.

One AI agent, bot, GPT, Gem, model, MCP server, or assistant — the unit you would give a single name and listing to. A studio with 50 Custom GPTs has 50 identities. One indie creator with one Telegram bot has 1 identity. Pricing is per identity for Verified and Pro, bundled into the 100-identity included quota for Scale, unlimited at Enterprise.

Start on Passport Verified at $49/yr for each one. If two or three of those AIs are public-facing where reputation matters (creator persona, customer-facing assistant, public agent), upgrade those specific identities to Pro for $199/yr each — Pro identities show as Pro in third-party Verify API responses, which is increasingly used for trust filtering.

Scale is a PLATFORM tier, not a volume discount. You buy it for the org tooling — SSO + multi-admin + RBAC (replaces Okta seat costs), audit logs, SOC2 evidence pack, webhook firehose, bulk identity API, dedicated Slack support, compliance reports. The 50 Pro Passports bundled in are a bonus that covers most teams' identity fleet. Standalone, those org features would cost $5,000–7,000/yr to stitch together from Okta + Vanta + Datadog + a support contract. Scale wraps them with 50 Pros for $14,999/yr.
